If you were to look at a map of Lake Winnipesaukee, “First Neck” defines the tract of land which splits Center Harbor Bay and Blackey Cove and includes Alpine Park Road and Shorewood Lane. Second Neck defines the land that separates Blackey Cove from Ash Cove and Salmon Meadow Cove. The homes on First and Second Neck offer the convenience of a “near town” location, close to Center Harbor and Moultonborough amenities including a restaurants, coffee shops, a grocery store, several hardware stores and quaint locally owned shops. The homes on Alpine Park Road offer shoreline on Center Harbor Bay with west and southwest exposure providing for amazing sunsets over the bay. Residents who own waterfront in Blackey Cove enjoy its calm and protected waters nestled at the foothill of Red Hill just to the north.
Second Neck includes the areas of Redding Lane, Eagle Shore Road and Grassy Pond Road which leads towards Black Cat Island. Much like Alpine Park Road, Redding Lane and Grassy Pond Road offer a great shoreline on the broader part of the lake. Eagle Shore Road offers a more protected setting, often with mountain views, while still offer quick access to the broader part of the lake for easy boating.
